FAQ

1. What inspired you to write this book?
  • I was inspired to write Balance beyond Burnout from personal experience with exhaustion, hormonal imbalance, and emotional overload. I experienced a wide range of symptoms, including relentless fatigue, mood swings, and a sluggish lack of energy, which I eventually understood as severe burnout and an adrenal disorder.

When I began researching adrenal health and the endocrine system, I realized burnout isn’t sudden; it’s a slow breakdown caused by imbalance. This guide was written to help women recognize early warning signs and reclaim balance before exhaustion becomes their normal.

    Key inspirations:

Personal struggle: I needed a way to explain an invisible battle to my family and a better way for me to understand my own symptoms. I could barely recognize myself.
  • Family experience: A female first cousin suffered for years with similar symptoms before being diagnosed with a rare adrenal tumor, highlighting how easily adrenal disorders can be misunderstood or misdiagnosed.
  • Addressing a common issue for women: I realized many women in demanding professions silently suffer from similar problems and are often misdiagnosed or dismissed by the medical community.
  • Empowerment through knowledge: My goal is to provide the answers and knowledge I wished I had found sooner, empowering women to understand their bodies and reclaim their energy.
2. What will your readers gain from your book?

Readers gain clarity and control over their hormonal balance. The book explains how stress impacts hormones, emotions, and daily lifestyle choices. Why does doing “more” often make things worse?

An imbalance can leave you feeling like you are fighting invisible battles. Through practical guidance, readers learn how to restore energy, improve focus, and feel more grounded without feeling guilty.

3. What was your unique quotient for this project?

My unique quotient was blending personal healing with process improvement. I combined my own health journey and family history with Lean Six Sigma, PDCA, and the plan-do-check-act cycle for process improvement to analyze stress, the way you would explore a system’s problems. I break down the types of stress and stages of stress. When one area fails, the whole system feels it. By mapping stress, hormone response, and emotional patterns, readers can identify breakdown points and make small, targeted changes that lead to lasting results.

I mapped the stages of adrenal stress to show how the imbalance impacts hormones and emotions over time. This approach led to the SHE framework, Stress, Hormones, and Emotions. It reveals how daily lifestyle choices are shaped by what’s happening inside the body. It gives women a practical, step-by-step way to understand imbalance and create sustainable change.

4. How did becoming an author help in your brand/business?

Becoming an author allows me to share my mission clearly: raise awareness of adrenal health and help women understand stress before it becomes illness. The book supports my work in education, speaking, consulting, and wellness. It gives women a trusted starting point for making informed, sustainable changes to their health.

5. What are your future plans as an author?

Next 9 months – create the book’s journal, and the She frameworks. These resources will help women track stress patterns, recognize hormonal shifts, and design lifestyles that support long-term balance and resilience.

Next 16 months – write another book.

6. What will you learn from this book?

2- Understand how adrenal health affects energy, sleep, and emotions
