I absolutely loved this book. Savanna Loy is a fabulous storyteller. I was at the edge of my seat with every twist of this story. Very gripping! I read it, along with my 14 and 18 year old; and they loved it as well. It's very clean writing too and I would recommend it to adults and teens a like.

1. What inspired you to write this book?

After touring a facility for soldiers and their families, my head started spinning knowing what they face
after war. I do not have that experience, but I wanted to write a fiction book that people would be
excited to read, while educating and making people stop and think of our soldiers.

2. What will your readers gain from your book?

Before reading Mafia Soldier, readers are searching for a thriller that goes deeper, something that
doesn’t just entertain, but feels. Afterward, they walk away emotionally wrecked but awakened,
connected to characters who reflect real trauma, complex loyalty, and the quiet power of choosing
healing over silence.

3. What was your unique quotient for this project?

Mafia Soldier blends high-stakes thriller intensity with deep emotional and psychological layers rarely
seen in military or crime fiction. What makes this project unique is the intentional spotlight on the
mental toll of service, the complex bonds between found family and fractured legacy, and the
choice to center a morally conflicted female enforcer, Dai, who defies the traditional damsel or
femme-fatale roles. As a former 911 dispatcher and foster mom to six, I bring a lived understanding of
trauma, survival, and second chances, infusing every page with raw humanity and hard-earned hope.

4. How did becoming an author help in your brand/business?

Honestly, it hasn’t yet. What it has done is allowed me to meet so many incredible readers. I am so
busy with being a mom to six, a wife to an overworked nurse, a Book Coach, and running a marketing
company that being able to spread the world LOUD AND BOLD about me being an author doesn’t get
to happen as often as I would like. I have been blessed to be able to help other authors weekly in their
journey, and I am so grateful for that.

5. What are your future plans as an author?

I want it all: Multiple stories out annually, movie deals, merch deals, TedX talk, and more public
speaking, I don’t have a cap to my author dreams.

6. What will you learn from this book?

1- Loyalty can save or destroy you, depending on who you give it to.
2- The deepest battles aren’t fought with weapons, but within the mind and soul.
3- Family isn’t always blood, sometimes it’s who stands beside you when everything else falls apart.
