1. What inspired you to write this book?

I felt such joy and comfort as a child on pasta Sundays as my mom and nana made the
secret family sauce. The passing of my mom inspired me to finish Pasta Sunday. A
book I had been working on since I was eighteen years old. Writing it was a tribute to
my mom, and a way to keepsake what the pasta sauce had taught me, that tradition is
the love found in making it.

2. What will your readers gain from your book?

Children will see themselves as an important part of family rituals. Adults will be
refreshed that our everyday traditions are the ones our kids will remember most.

3. What was your unique quotient for this project?

This project supports the causes of family connection, preserving heritage and tradition,
and empowering children to see themselves as part of something bigger. It shares the
love and magic of traditions.

4. How did becoming an author help in your brand/business?

Becoming an author has helped me connect with children who are interested in a book
about anything pasta, curious about tradition, or cooking with family. It’s helped me
connect with adults who support the causes of family connection, preserving tradition,
and empowering children to see themselves as part of something bigger.

5. What are your future plans as an author?

I’m currently working on two new titles:
• “Mama, Remind Me Who I Am,” a tender story about identity, belonging, and the
affirmations we pass down.
• “Nana Blondie’s Special Banket,” a heartfelt tale of family legacy and cherished
homemade comfort.

6. What will you learn from this book?

.  Traditions connect generations. Family recipes and rituals are more than food;
they’re stories, memories, and love passed down to the next generation.
. Togetherness is important. Being together with those we love at the dinner table, or
doing any activity together, is what makes a moment special.
. Kids can carry tradition forward. Kids can play an important part in preserving and
celebrating family culture.
.  Food is joy. Sharing food, such as a bowl of pasta, can bring comfort and belonging.
Meals can be the backdrop for our most cherished memories together.
. You can create new traditions. The book invites readers to make a recipe, tell pasta
jokes, and encourages families to create rituals of their own heritage.
