About The Author

John McGowan is an avid reader, traveler, and an amazing writer who found his calling to write his views on life through travel. His four adult children are his biggest inspiration. 

 

John McGowan was born and lived most of his life in western Canada working in several industries from mining to tourism with the longest being a business owner in construction.

 

His love for writing began while attending his night school in the local college of a small mining town of Kimberley, British Columbia.  

 

John’s first published book, “The Unfolded Stories” explores a path of renewal and redemption, through the medium of traveling solo for two years around Central America. There will be more to come on topics of life, love, and adventures to new destinations, as the world reopens.

 

John remains a lifelong learner and fearless traveler.
