1. What Inspired You to Write This Book?

I was inspired to write this book after being interviewed for a podcast about the loss of my husband. The positive comments received in response to the episode when it went live proved that sharing my story could help people. Writing a book allowed me to go into further detail beyond what I shared in the podcast.

2. What will your readers gain from your book?

I hope my readers find peace and comfort knowing they are not alone. I hope readers will also find that it is an excellent tool to have with resources they can use to help themselves or others in similar situations.

3. What was your unique quotient for this project?

Everyone’s story of loss has a unique quotient, and we can never walk in each other’s shoes or know what people are carrying or have been through. However, sharing the stories of others in this book will surely be a unique quotient.

4. How did becoming an author help in your brand/business?

Becoming an author has strengthened my writing ability, and I have learned much about book publishing and the marketing of a book. I have an extensive background in marketing but have never marketed a book before, so it’s been an incredible learning experience to stretch my marketing muscles that way. It’s also a great addition to my resume!

5. What are your future plans as an author?

I keep mentioning that this is my “first” book, which I never knew or thought I would say. Maybe I would write one, and that would be it. But after this experience, I am very interested in writing a second book. At this time, I don’t know what I will write about, but I would like to see what kind of feedback I receive from the first one, as I believe an idea will develop from there.
